Kind words
“One was better than the next. I didn't feel any sort of stress or pressure during the shoot. Mimi just captured my baby and I perfectly. It was like he and I were meant to find each other and these pictures capture that.”
- Andrea“I welled up with (happy) tears when I saw Mimi’s images — they are so beyond what I hoped and I will treasure them forever.
Mimi is a magician of light and angle and style. She captured one of the most important pieces of my life and identity — it means so much to me and I feel so lucky to have found her talented lens.”
- Madeleine“Mimi is unbelievable. Even my husband at the end of our shoot thought it went by fast and couldn't believe how easy it was. She is a rare breed of personality that immediately puts you at ease. She's friendly and warm. Her art is beautiful. The photos she took did such a good job of capturing the joy Theo brings to our life every day.”
Alexandra“I've known Mimi for years through our journeys as photographers. She's on the east coast of the States, and I'm from a little island called Barbados. We'd been following each other for years, but never formally met.
I've admired her work from day one. The way she photographs people, the honest moments, and the over feel of every single image just hits me time and time again.
When my husband and I decided on a last minute parents only trip to NYC, I knew I had to be photographed by Mimi. It was an opportunity I couldn't miss. The first thing I did after we booked our tickets, was get in touch with Mimi. (even before we had a hotel booked! yes, it was THAT important.)
I had fingers crossed, and miraculously Mimi was available. We met and chatted as though we were old friends. On the day of the session, it was effortless. Me and my husband were saying, we don't even remember Mimi taking photos!!
The experience with Mimi was second to none..
And then the photos were delivered.
I was BLOWN away, and am in awe every time I look at them (which is literally every dang day).
We see our love for each other, we see HOW we are.. Matte with his knapsack, me in my converse. This is us. Walking the city just being who we are together. Mimi got it all, and for this, I will be forever grateful.
Thank you Mimi, I'm not sure if you understand your superpower, but every one needs to experience it.
Love always,”

STATEMENT
I am drawn to the quiet, in-between moments that so often go unnoticed — the way a hand reaches instinctively for another, the softness in a new parent’s gaze, the familiar rhythm between two people who have built a life together. My work is rooted in documenting connection as it naturally unfolds, with honesty, warmth, and reverence for the season you’re in. Whether it’s welcoming your first baby or walking through the city simply being yourselves, my intention is to preserve not just how it looked, but how it felt to be there.
I believe the most meaningful photographs happen when people feel safe enough to be fully themselves. That’s why I approach each session gently and intuitively, creating space for you to relax into the moment. I’m not interested in stiff poses or forced smiles — I’m watching for the real laughter, the subtle glances, the emotion that rises when you forget there’s a camera in the room. Those are the pieces that tell the truest story.
To me, every session is a collaboration built on trust. I come alongside you — calm, present, and attentive. I guide when needed, but I also step back and let life unfold. The magic lives in that balance. It’s in the effortless exchanges, the energy between you, the small details that make your love and your family uniquely yours.
I think of my photographs as heirlooms of feeling. Each image is a fragment of a larger narrative — the beginning of a family, the deepening of a bond, the simple beauty of an ordinary day that will one day feel extraordinary. I want you to see yourselves in your images and recognize the truth of who you are in this chapter.
It is never lost on me what a privilege this is. To be invited into your home, to witness your tenderness, to document your joy — it’s sacred work. My hope is that decades from now, when you hold these photographs in your hands, you won’t just remember what you looked like. You’ll remember the warmth, the laughter, the overwhelming love — and you’ll feel it all over again.
